Students will be able to use the better materials to create artwork they actually care about. We want students to be able to show pride in what they do, and to learn how to use materials correctly, which is hard when the materials are so cheap that they don't work well themselves. By using better materials, we are hoping students will feel more inspired, and understand that they should feel pride and joy in what they have created and accomplished with the newer items. We also want to be able to have students gain experiences using more than just markers, crayons, and colored pencils, and be able to experience as many aspects of visual arts as possible to learn new skills. The world needs artists for so many different career paths, and it is the goal at our school to get students as knowledgeable and college and career ready as we can by exposing them to different subject areas of interest.
