Last year, I used student planners for the first time and was so pleased with the results! The daily routine of recording assignments provides students with essential organizational skills for high school, college, and beyond! It also fosters independence and communication with parents. Being in an ESL setting, I have students who come from various backgrounds and speak different languages at home. It is important that students have an opportunity to read with their families at home to reinforce the value of literacy. While my classroom has many Spanish books, I am looking to build my Arabic book library too!
