Welcome to Ms. Alexis' Speech Room page! Here at the Richard H. Hungerford School, I work with students ages 11-21 with special needs. Most of my caseload consists of 6:1:1 students with a diagnosis of autism. I also work with young adults with intellectual disabilities. Along with my 11 speech colleagues, I work on communicating across various environments with my students. This includes verbal communication, using an AAC device (speech generating device), and picture symbols/gestures. I also target appropriate social skills that are vital for my students' futures beyond their classroom experiences.
