Thanks to your kindness, we received all of the materials we needed, and I've already begun to see the positive impact on my students.\r\n\r\nHere's what's changed:\r\n\r\nImproved Classroom Hygiene\r\nWe have built a regular hand-washing routine into our day. Before lunch, after recess, and any time hands get dirty, students head to the sink, use the soap and sanitizer, and wash up properly. Because of the new supplies, we no longer run out, and I don't have to worry about students skipping these important steps.\r\n\r\nHealthier, Happier Students\r\nFewer kids have been complaining of stomachaches or sniffles lately, and I suspect it's thanks to our more consistent hygiene practices. When students wash their hands well, they bring fewer germs into class, and that means less passing around of yucky viruses. It's made our class a safer, healthier space for everyone.\r\n\r\nEmpowered and Responsible Learners\r\nWe are also using the hand-washing posters and hygiene charts to help students understand why this matters. They're learning that taking care of themselves is part of being responsible citizens — and they take pride in it. Some of my older students even help remind their peers when it's time to refill supplies or clean up.\r\n\r\nI want you to know that your gift is not just about soap and sanitizer — it's about building healthy habits, reducing illness, and creating a classroom where students feel safe and respected. Several students excitedly said things like, \"Can we really use these every day?\" and \"This feels like a place I can go when I need a break.\"\r\n\r\nOne of the most touching moments was watching a student who typically has difficulty expressing emotions pick up a set of emotion cards and point to \"frustrated,\" then calmly say, \"That's me right now.\" For this child, who usually shuts down, this was a major breakthrough.\r\n\r\nNext Steps: Building Emotional Intelligence\r\n\r\nCurrently, we are working on a classroom project called \"Emotion Experts.\" Students are learning to identify not just how they feel, but why they feel that way, and what strategies help them return to a calm state.
