I have a total of 23 students in my classroom, seven of which have learning disabilities and one student who has a cognitive impairment. My students are loaded with energy, but lack the excitement and determination to do well in school. 99.3% of the students who attend my school are considered low-income students. My students are often difficult to motivate, but once on task and actively participating in their learning, they can really shine. I see an enormous amount of potential in all of my students. I hope that one day they will be able to see it themselves.
