Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the best choices that will help them learn. During independent work students have times they can choose a location in the classroom to complete their work. Students are currently sitting at different tables, on the floor or at their desk. Having the option to move around the room teaches them accountability and the responsibility to control themselves and be in-charge of their learning. Flexible seating also gives students a time to break away from the long school day. Technology use in the classroom happens everyday. By having headphones, students will be able to concentrate on their work without distraction. Use and Wipe pockets are used everyday! We use them for literacy centers, math centers and independent work. By using these, we save so many copies!
