I am in desperate need of a new printer and ink for my class. I have resorted to emailing colleagues who will print for me and then I make my way to the office to put work in for copies. I usually print homework for my students so they don't waste time copying and can get right to work.
I also like to print class notes from my lesson as a resource for students and parents to use for homework. I also use my personal printer to generate immediate differentiated activities during a lesson where I notice kids are struggling. This becomes my small group activities or extra support to send home.
At this time, students are copying from the smartboard and doing practice sets with partners as needed.
Modifications and adaptations to the classroom and curriculum, as well as individualized communication supports, are necessary for ensure student success but also requires additional resources, and supplies.
In a school with limited budget/resources, these supplies are not readily/if at all available.
With your help, I can provide what I need for my students without risking instructional time to copy. Every second counts!
