Our students will use the Lakeshore letter tiles and magnetic tiles to develop their phonemic awareness as they progress through reading interventions. The Expo markers and cardstock are simple yet crucial tools that we use to help students in both math and reading. Our students are diverse learners and need hands on ways of making basic concepts stick. Letter tiles and magnet letters are used to first start out with learning letter sounds and gradually moving to building words. Students will spell words and concretely manipulate the letters to see phonetic patterns. These tools are durable and will last longer than the paper letter tiles we currently have access to.
