At the middle school level, organization is a vital aspect to middle school student's success and development. Recognizing this, coupled with my student's socioeconomic status, I took it upon myself to purchase each student a notebook and folder at the beginning of the school year. My students use their notebooks and folders on a daily basis. However, these material's longevity proved to be short-lived as they did not provide the durability necessary to last an academic quarter, not to mention an entire school year. Having these binders will ensure that my students have a long-lasting tool to organize and capture their school work in.
