Education in the early years sets the foundation for learning throughout the student's lives and it is essential for a student in the 21st century to have access to technology. One of my goals as an educator is to incorporate technology into my lessons everyday. Three laptops in my classroom will open up opportunities for my students to research, investigate and find the answers to those burning questions that swirl inside their inquisitive minds. Access to technology in the classroom will allow students that do not have computers in their homes to complete projects and do homework, such as iReady, an individualized online program that helps students connect their learning gaps in reading and math. Many of my students are interested in programming and computer science and our school is lacking resources to fonder that curiosity.
