Comfort Corners: Supporting Mental Health Through Art and Calm
Funded Nov 11, 2025I was so excited to share the great news with my students about our calming project getting funded. I can'texpress how grateful we all are. This project meant so much. My students struggle to cope with emotions. Thank you so much for funding this project. These materials help support my students with their mental health. Students love the weighted stuff animals and the flexibly Axolotls. Students love getting to write in their journals whenever they need time to release stress. Because of your generosity, every student will be able to fill a stocking with water, applesauce, cookies, and other treats to take home over winter break. I will get to send a blanket home to two students that have mentioned they have no heat or blankets at home. For many of our kids, having reliable snacks during this time makes a huge difference. New Year New Supplies
Funded Aug 14, 2025Thank you so much for your generosity. These items were a high need for my class. My students have been so grateful to have a brand new, working sharpener in class to sharpen our pencils & color pencils. They love using the water colors to create unique pieces of art. The clorox wipes have helped us sanitize our desks daily to prevent the spread of germs and sickness. The expo markets are used daily for our groups & math problem solving. Native American Art in the Classroom
Funded Nov 23, 2024I would like to express my gratitude. This project was something dear to my heart. I love to bring cultural awareness in my classroom. These items helped ensure our lessons were even more immersive and interactive. My students make better connections with lessons that include hands-on activities arts and crafts and these materials were perfect. They helped foster their learning. The materials allowed students to express their creativity and explore Native American traditions, in a hands-on way. Your generosity helped students from a low-income school go home with sweaters for winter. Your donations truly made a difference in these students lives. Some of them didn't own a sweater, or had one that was very thin. These sweaters helped students stay warm during the cold months and at recess time.
