My students are avid readers. Their skills are growing each day. I am so impressed by their love of the written word; unfortunately, our classroom library consist primarily of fiction. I want to incorporate nonfiction text into our library so we can bring our love of science and the social studies into reading time. I have 23 future scientists, mathematicians, anthologists, and historians in classroom; they just need the materials to get them started on their journeys. We will use these texts to study our planet during science, to research different aspect our our world and write about it, and to celebrate and learn from those people who have made enormous differences in our world.
