I would like to provide the basic materials for my students to have at home, so they can participate in the lessons and activities we provide through remote learning. These materials will allow the children to participate in hands-on learning until we can return to in-person instruction. The children can use materials like markers, crayons, scissors, and playdoh to build their fine motor skills when practicing writing and making letters, numbers, and their names. The daily use of journals will build their fine motor skills, as well as oral language when describing their artwork to a family member. These skills are so important at this age. The cubes and foam dice will enhance and improve number fluency and be used for a wide variety of games and activities. With the basic materials the children will feel that they are prepared for daily remote learning.
