While I pull guided reading groups, student have the opportunity to utilize hands on centers to enhance their learning and retention of high frequency words. Data shows that students learn in all different ways and the more interesting and engaging our lessons and centers can be the better our students will learn! Repetition and kenestheic movements will create deeper neural connections in the brain. These games and activity sets will directly enhance student’s reading and writing abilities as they begin to read their sight words with automaticity and sound out CVC words! Plus, who doesn’t love these bright, colorful, magnetic manipulatives? I know I am excited to give them a try! Thank you for supporting these young readers on their exciting journey ahead of them!
