My students live in California and attend an inner-city urban school, which was opened in 2007. The school services the students who live in the community. The high school participated in a full Title one program which allows all students to receive a free lunch meal daily. Also, the majority of the Hispanic students who attend are first generation candidates for high school graduation. We have a large population of ELL students who attend the school. The students are suffering because of constant budget cuts. The school does not have the means to provide technology to all classrooms. The few LCD projects available are always used. Math/English classrooms are given priority of technology use. Our state is also beginning to implement common core standards, in which technology in an integral part and having an LCD projector can help with that component.
