Our human body unit is quickly wrapping up and we cannot wait to participate in dissection week! Each year, the 7th grade students participate in "dissection week." This week consists of pig hearts, cow eye balls, and frogs. The students each year ask if we could dissect a brain, but my future doctors never get the chance because brains are very difficult to find! The Carolina Company just recently released a brain dissection kit. Students would LOVE to take all of their knowledge of the nervous system and be able to identify different areas/parts of the brain. The hands-on experience would a lifetime memory with a tremendous amount of life-long learning. By donating these middle school students will have a deeper understanding of the brain, nervous system, and a possible future career path as a neurologist!
