I am pleased to be teaching at a K-12 charter school in Granville County, North Carolina. I primarily work with elementary students, but I have also worked with middle and high school students. This year has been a challenge for everyone, but for students with special needs, their world has been rocked over and over. Routines and procedures are important to many of my students and this year, they have struggled with major changes in school expectations. My goal is to provide each student with the tools that they need to succeed. For some of them, that is simply colorful pens or grippers to work with, for others, that is a calm down space and fidgets. I love working with students in all areas of their studies, but I also get the privilege of helping them with their mental and emotional states of mind. Any donations will go towards calming tools, social skills books, and other environmental items for my classroom.
