We would like to create a quiet, calming space for students to utilize to help regulate and calm their body, and get ready to learn. The Safe Place rug can help them identify their feelings and will create a cozy environment. We need some sensory and gross motor items such as the trampoline, tunnel and theraputty to allow students to calm in their own way. The students will have many opportunities to learn various ways to regulate and identify when they are ready to learn- helping them build their social, emotional, and behavioral skills. Students need to be self-regulated before they are ready to learn- this space will allow them to do that!
