Our Pre-Kindergarten program is center-based. All the items that I have selected are to be used in our centers. We need a CD/tape player and books on CD for our reading center. The more children can hear people reading fluently, the better reader they will become. We need various art supplies for our art center. Variety allows for students to truly create freely. We also need goggles to use in the science center so we can be true scientists! The more engaging our centers are, the more we can learn and explore. Having a variety of materials makes it possible to change out items in centers more frequently and keep students engaged. Student engagement is instrumental in fostering learning. We want students to be excited about learning all kinds of things, as Pre-K is the beginning of their learning adventure!
