My students look to me and my classroom for a space that is welcoming, safe, and comfortable. This environment helps encourage my students to learn and further their abilities. Having comfortable seating in the reading area encourages my students to read more often, and boosts their confidence in their reading abilities. Couches and bean bag chairs ensure that my students will always feel comfortable and calm while learning in my classroom. This seating plan will also serve a dual purpose as a cool down area during times that my students may feel overwhelmed. With this furniture, my students will have a safe and comfortable place to calm down, and prepare themselves for more learning!
