Currently, in both my 9th grade Ethnic Studies and 12th grade American Government classes, my students are working on comprehensive research projects, where they have written a research question about social justice issues they care about. These issues range from police brutality, to environmental discrimination, to school funding/budget cuts, to ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance here at school. My students need daily access to Chromebooks to work on student-driven social justice projects to improve their communities and school. My students are diving into the world of social justice advocacy and action and need your help to continue to strive for real change in Oakland. Regular access to Chromebooks would substantially help them research and write proposals to create meaningful change in their communities and at school.
