I have the privilege of making music with 500 Kindergarten through 5th grade students each week. Their eagerness to learn in my classroom inspires me to continuously improve myself to be a better teacher because these children deserve the best! My students come from a variety of backgrounds and ethnicities. I teach in an urban school district where all my students receive free breakfast and lunch daily. My goal is to create a classroom environment where all of my students feel welcomed and celebrated. I love being able to expose my students to music they may not have access to outside of school and to share my passion for music with them. Creating music with these young musicians is one of the most rewarding jobs!
