My classroom serves special needs students, grades 4th-8th, who are affected by various learning and physical disabilities. These students are humble, hard working, generous, kind and ambitious. They love to learn and are more than able to achieve and accomplish their goals. These students present a need for different and innovative strategies in order to access their education fully. We do as much as we can with what we are given in terms of funding. However, the budget cuts have affected us for the past few years and threaten to become even more severe with upcoming revisions. My students need different materials and books in order to learn and achieve their goals. These items are an extra expense that my special ed department doesn’t have money to fund. Your donation will be used to provide items that are much needed and that we could not have been able to have otherwise. Thank you for supporting us.
