I teach a wonderful group of fifth grade students at a charter school in a low-income, high poverty area where the high school graduation rate is less than 50%. My students are the most resilient, dedicated, and wonderful group of ten-year old people you will come across. On a daily basis I TRY to give them everything that they need. I have the responsibility of giving these children the best year of school that they can get. Each and every day, my students come into a warm and inviting classroom and work on literacy skills, math, social studies, and science.

About my class
