My students have have activity time three times a week after lunch. It gives them a change to hang out with friends and blow off some steam! It is also a time for them to get some fresh air and to take a much needed break! They look forward to this time each week! Activity time also allows children to continue to develop social skills and gives them time to interact with peers in a nonacademic way and practice good sportsmanship. While we have some equipment, there is not have enough for everyone to use. We are requesting sidewalk chalk, soccer balls, kick balls and jump ropes. Students enjoy drawing with chalk and playing soccer. We are almost out of chalk and students would like to have more balls and jump ropes to use. It would be great if they could have more opportunities for students to enjoy their break!
