Reading is the key to success in ALL areas of life, and this project will allow us to fill our library with interesting and engaging books! They work hard each day to make connections, work hard, dive deep into their thinking, and be the absolute best person they can be. Outside of the classroom, however, they face many challenges and uncertainties coming from a background of poverty. One of my biggest goals for my students is to fall in love with reading, and these books will help them continue their love of good books. I chose books that my students can relate to, and books that captivate and transport my 4th graders to other worlds. I also included flexible seating opportunities for my students which will allow them to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out!
