My students are bright and energetic. We are a Kindergarten class at a Title I school. There is not a day that we don't laugh. They are eager to share their discoveries with their teachers, classmates, and families. They feel proud when they learn. All of my students this year are dual-language learners, meaning they speak a language other than English at home. They also all qualify for free or reduced price lunch. My students are sponges and are eager to learn. We are in a pre-kindergarten to fifth grade public school building where over ninety-six percent of our families are economically needy and less than fifteen percent of families speak English at home.
