My principal has given me the opportunity to pilot flexible seating in my classroom. Being a reading and language arts room, I feel this is the best classroom to try it in. I would like for all students to have a choice of what seating fits them best. Allowing students to choose would give them more responsibility for their learning, as well as catering to different learning types. I would also like to be able to give them a lap desk to allow them to work on the floor or any part of our classroom. Being a pilot in our school could lead to more students having different seating options in more classrooms.
