I am the School Counselor at Bastian Elementary and I love it! As a school counselor, I have the privilege of supporting students’ emotional well-being, social development, and academic growth with classroom lessons, in small groups, or one on one. Many of the students I work with are facing difficult life circumstances or big emotions they don’t yet know how to manage. Through counseling, I create a safe and nurturing space where they can feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether it’s through conversation, creative expression, or skill-building games, my goal is to empower every child to thrive—emotionally, socially, and academically and to believe in themselves. I believe that when students feel safe and supported, they are more ready to learn, grow, and connect with others. That’s the heart of my work every day.
