Osborn MST High School students are the best! As 1st generation college students they show up everyday excited and ready to learn in spite of the difficult challenges they face daily. Our school is located on the east side of Detroit, Michigan where the data suggests is the most dangerous zip code in the State of Michigan, however, my students are the most humbled, brilliant, talented young people I have ever worked with. They are so loving, full of joy and love to make others smile as you can see on this picture. Our school has the highest poverty in our community across the U.S.A. Although we have faced extreme challenges such as school closures, low resources, lack of opportunities and so on, my students still rise to the occasion to succeed. All 60 seniors at Osborn MST has been accepted into a college or university. We are at 95% FAFSA rate and completing scholarships everyday.
