A document reader would mean that I would be able to model the literacy and math station work for my students. All twenty-five of my students would be able to see the activity that they would later be expected to complete independently or in a small cooperative group. Presently the students need to sit around our classroom Gathering Rug to see the activity that I am modeling. With twenty-five students trying to see from a distance, it is difficult for all students to see at one time. Therefore, I may lose their attention. The students would then be unprepared to work independently. I would be connecting the document camera to the SMART Board in our classroom.
