Students have a better, and more memorable, learning experience when they are able to participate in concrete, hands-on learning activities. The majority of my students are not able to have these experiences outside of the classroom; therefore, I want to do my best to provide them with as many hands-on learning experiences as possible within the classroom. Providing them with these experiences will allow them to fully understand the content that they're being taught, make connections between the content and real-life experiences, and provide them with a strong foundation to be life-long learners. This will also help to decrease the achievement gap between students that are able to have the experiences that my students are not lucky enough to have.
