Located in Arizona very close to the Mexico border, the majority of my students are of Hispanic and Mexican origin. Due to the high amounts of poverty in our district, our school is on the 100% free/reduced lunch program via Title 1 funds. The students at our school have a desire to learn and many of them love to go the extra mile and get involved in sports and clubs after school. Many students do not have access to resources or support outside of school so they depend on their school and teachers for encouragement and extra support. The students have big hearts and a strong desire to achieve.
