The school I work at has flexible seating. It is amazing! Students get to feel comfortable and find where they will work best. We have bouncy chairs, a couch, high top tables, rocking stools, and more. Also, half way through the morning I get a new batch of 34 fifth graders to teach math and science to. That makes 68 students in total. Where can we keep all of our stuff so we have easy and quick transitions? When you have flexible seating, the organization has to be flexible, too. I am asking for rolling carts and dividers. We will have these carts around the room, one with each flexible "section" of our class. Each cart has three tiers. The top tier will have a six section divider. This is where my first and second groups can keep their math and science notebooks and folders. The bottom shelves of each cart will be for their materials like whiteboards, markers, highlighters, etc. I have weighed all the options and this seems like the best way to keep everyone organized.
