My students are 8th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders from a small town. Our school does not have a diverse population, and has been severely hit by budget and program cuts. These kids are proud of where they come from, but understand the challenges they face when competing with students from larger, more affluent districts as they leave our hallways and head into the world of college, work, and the military.
