As we ended the 2020 school year with Distance Learning, the inequities within education became glaringly obvious. It was heart-wrenching to see students who had limited access to pencils and paper be unable to keep up with class assignments. Fortunately, my district is a one-on-one Chromebook district so students have access to technology. However, I found that while learning from home, many students lacked a quiet space to study or were unable to push out the background noise. This project will help me provide my students with the headsets and microphones to help them focus during daily lessons. In addition, this project will provide students with individual whiteboards to show their work and thought process during our math lessons. This project also includes some everyday supplies like pencils, sharpeners, notebooks, and colored pencils. Please help me provide these supplies for my students. Access to fundamental school supplies shouldn’t hold our kids back from a quality education.
