We are in one of the largest school districts in the U.S. It has been severely hit by budget cuts. We have very few supplies and there is no money to be spent on updating, fixing, or getting new technology in the classrooms. Many of my students do not have computer access at home. They are 8th graders who will be going to high school next year and will be expected to know how to do research on the Internet, use word processing programs to write papers, and create presentations using technology. I want to provide them with the opportunity to learn how to do these things so they are prepared for a successful future in a technology-driven age.

About my class
