  • Hard Work Pays Off!

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

We are nearly a quarter done with this school year, and we are so excited to have the awesome scholars that we have back in the building full time this year! We are so extremely grateful for your generous donation! We have already been able to use the snacks for prizes for 2 school-wide assemblies where we recognize our scholars for top scores, biggest movers (showing significant growth!) and hardest workers for both math AND reading! This has helped students have a reward for their hard work, and incentivize them to keep working hard for their future!!

We also have been able to use treats to reward our scholars for excellent behavior, their kindness and empathy with their peers, and showing leadership in their classrooms and around the school.

We are so thankful for your donation and the impact it has already had on our scholars! Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Smith

  • Scholars Love Learning Math!

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my school and our scholars! Because we are a Title 1 school, we often struggle to get "extra" resources, and this is one that our scholars are LOVING, but it would not be possible to have this experience without your donation!

Our first grade classrooms have struggled this year because last year, our school was virtual for about 50% of the school year, when these scholars were in Kindergarten! This has been really difficult on their learning, and these are helping our teachers fill the gaps that our scholars have, while allowing the students to fully understand the math they are learning with fun manipulatives!

Our scholars and teachers are so thankful for these resources. Thank you, again!”

  • Sweatshirts to Keep the Chill Away!

    Funded Feb 5, 2020

My students are SO excited that we have new sweatshirts! We are working as a class to design our school's name so that I can use my Cricut cutting machine to cut the vinyl to place on each scholar's sweatshirt! They are so excited to have personalized sweatshirts!

This is really a huge help for so many of my scholars. Many do not have proper warm attire for these Indiana winters. This is such a blessing for so many of my kiddos. My school is such a blessing for many of our students, but funding is just so little. These donor's choose projects really make such an impact on our scholar's learning!

So again, I say, THANK YOU!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Smith

  • Cutting Edge Classrooms: Personalized for Our Success!

    Funded May 13, 2019

First of all, please let me thank you from the bottom of my heart! This has been such a cool integration into our classroom. I am still working to get the kiddos using this project. I plan to have an after-school club for students to make a few cool projects for others! We are still working on things to make but I am very much loving it!

I have created promotion ceremony items for our kiddos at the end of the year! I made a couple shirts for myself to help pump up the students! I am in the process of making shirts and water bottles for some of my hardest workers in the classroom to celebrate their dedication! What a cool way to help inspire kids! Thank you!”

  • Stay Fresh! Clean Clothes for Everyone!

    Funded Aug 2, 2018

Having these clothes and hygiene items has been such a blessing this year. Because our building is older, we have issues with the HVAC system often. We often had to layer up in the classroom and having long-sleeved shirts and sweatshirts for every student was so helpful! My students loved being gifted clothes and were just so thankful! Many wear their sweatshirts every day! Having a few extra items in the closet has helped numerous students feel comfortable at school even when they didn't have a uniform that fit, or that was clean at home! This project helped our students and I am SO grateful for your donation!”

  • An Organized Classroom is a Successful Classroom!

    Funded May 13, 2019

Thank you so much for this opportunity to organize our classroom! Our project for IKEA for bookshelves, paper sorters, folder sorters, etc has helped us tremendously! Student's got to help assemble the shelves, and it was a team effort to get our books reorganized in our library!

Because our building is older, the furniture is also older. These shelves have replaced older, rickety shelves and they make our room look so much nicer! We have bins for students to put folders and my teacher resources area looks so much better with the items in bins instead of going right on the shelf in an unorganized fashion!

Thank you so much for giving to our classroom! We are so beyond thankful!”

  • Young Wizards in Training!

    Funded May 13, 2019

I am so very grateful for the donation to my classroom! My students LOVE the new decorations and so many ask me all about them and what they mean! We just began the first book in the Harry Potter series and they are loving it! The decor just adds to the magic!

Our building is very old and we have closets for the students to hang book bags and coats but the "doors" have long since fallen off. The curtains do an AMAZING job keeping their items safe and secure and they add such a warm touch to the room! I am so thankful for the opportunity to give these kids this awesome classroom!”

  • Wizards in Training: Part 2!

    Funded Jan 26, 2019

My students are beyond ecstatic that these books have arrived! We have already started reading them and they are very much into it! It is really helping them become stronger readers. Many of my students do not enjoy reading. Many are very far below grade level. But when we come together to read these books as a whole group, it levels the playing field and I have kids who are discovering a love for reading!

You have given us the best gift, and for that I am very grateful! The kids thank you so much!”

  • Fresh Air In...Great Ideas Out!

    Funded Sep 19, 2018

There are no words to describe how thankful I am for these Air Purifiers! They have been so helpful this season! We are using them every day, the kids love them, and they truly are making a difference with germs!

I have had so few instances of students being sick since we received these air purifiers! I have a student who is in charge of turning them on and off each day! They love the way they look and they say they really make the room smell clean!

I really appreciate your donation. These have really helped our classroom to stay clean and healthy this year!”

  • Muggles Beware, Wizards in Training!

    Funded Aug 22, 2018

I don't know how to thank you enough for this class set of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone! My students are LOVING them! We are currently using them as our read-aloud in class and they are already asking if we will be able to read the 2nd book in the series!

I LOVE the illustrated copy just as much as my kiddos do! As we read along, I hold up the picture book so they can visualize what is happening. It really is helping them stay on track and focused as we read this book! Many of my students are 1-3 grade levels below 6th grade reading level, so this can be a bit tricky when reading a story as complex as this, but the illustrated book is really helping their comprehension!

We are so thankful for your donation to our class. This will be a valued asset for years to come! THANK YOU!”

I teach in a very urban school district. We are a Title 1 school, where our entire school receives free lunch. I have a class of 24 sixth graders, all of different reading and math abilities. Our school is a Project Restore school, meaning we test weekly in Reading and Math with a rigorous pacing guide to allow our students to be prepared for statewide tests. My students never let their challenges get in their way of their success for the future. They are a very hard-working group!
