My first grade classroom is a place where I encourage all students to enjoy learning and to grow as learners. We call this building, or stretching our brain - because your brain is like a muscle! First graders have a natural curiosity and wonder about everything. No matter their home life or what other issues they are dealing with they come to school wanting a safe and caring place to learn and grow. That is what I try to give them each day!
