My kindergarten students come into school with so much excitement about learning everything! One task that they are most anxious to learn is, how to read! Having this rug in my classroom will allow me the opportunity to provide a comfortable place for the students to sit while we explore so many great books! This is also the place where most of my whole group lessons will be taught. We all know that we learn things better when we are comfortable, right? I want to be able to offer my students just that. Having this rug would be wonderful! They students will also enjoy using this rug during their own reading and center times as well. I make sure that they students spend a certain amount of time during the day reading a book. The rug can be a place for them to sit alone on their spot and read, or they will be able to read along beside a friend.
