I want to be sure that all of my students not only see themselves represented in the books they read, but also have access to a wide variety of books that are culturally diverse and teach about social justice, racism, LBGTQ+, self love, and empathy - Ensuring that all of my students feel seen and valued, are able to experience and connect with BIPOC characters and learn more about the people and the world around them. My goal is to build a library of books that will enrich our sense of community, and help students to grow a lifelong desire to seek out and celebrate diversity in the world.
