When I think about sitting still in a hard chair for an entire day, it doesn't feel very inviting to me. Even as an adult, I love to move and my students are the same way! My students learn best when their bodies are moving. With social distancing being practiced in our classroom, we have to modify some of our usual classroom routines. Adding more flexible seating options will keep the students engaged while we are safely social distancing throughout our day. The yoga balls, wobble stools, stability discs, writing tables, and stadium seats will be used to provide flexible seating options to support students' learning as we social distance around our classroom. We will set up a rotation with our flexible seating tools so that we can safely sanitize all tools and give each student an opportunity to enjoy each flexible seating tool. They will be able to move and fidget while social distancing and learning!
