My students have been building their computer application skills for a couple of years now, learning how to use a desktop in a variety of ways. They've created Word documents and entered data into a spreadsheet. They have written HTML and CSS code. They've even displayed what they've learned in an online digital portfolio. However, most of them don't know what a computer looks when it's taken apart. Having these Kano kits will provide an invaluable experience and will increase their understanding of how it all works. Experiencing the "inner workings" of a computer is another way to expose students to technology and tap into interests many may not know they have, including future computer engineers and IT professionals!
