I believe that education opens doors and that it's important to give back to those who helped you along the way. That is why I became a teacher and why I work at the same school that helped me to become who I am. Today, approximately 90% of the students at Taft Elementary are English Language Learners and almost 90% live in low socioeconomic households. As my students learn and create with the help of technology, they begin to understand that they can do amazing things regardless of the obstacles they must overcome. I've always wanted to make a difference in the world and I want my students to do the same. Please help my students open the door to a bright future!
