I teach many classes that involve creating digital artwork on the computer including Graphic Design, Photography, and Yearbook. Knowing how to properly use computers and manage files is an important 21st century skill for my students to have. All of my classes share one set of laptop computers. The USB flash drives will enable students to store their digital work on a portable device. In order to protect their work, students need to be able to save their files on a personal drive. We are currently using shared computers which have a common desktop. When using a common laptop, it is not good practice to have other students able to access their fellow students' work. The USB will provide protected storage for each student's digital library so that they can create digital masterpieces while following the correct protocol.
