All the requested materials will be use as an incentive for my students. I am a school librarian and I love to inspire students to grow a love for reading and cultivate it in hopes for them to become a leisure reader when they become adults. I love hosting a library bingo where students fill in the boxes after they read an entire book and once a column is completed a reward is given for they dedication to read.
I encourage students to explore the whole library and check out other books than the popular ones to expand their knowledge, therefore I host library trivia and ask lots of random questions where the answers can be found in books. Winners also received an incentive for reading non-fiction books and expanding their knowledge. It is a great way to motivate all students to read by seeing peers or by winning themselves incentives for reading.
Making a library feel fun and educational is where a thrived the most. Libraries contain so many adventures and information that I loved to share this with my students. Some do need a little push to love to read or to open a book, with my activities I have been doing with my students is a great way to spark the love for reading. Please, help me in providing reading incentives to my students, so I can continue my journey in making leisure readers. Thank you so much.
