I have two sessions a day. Each class is made up of fifteen children. Seven of the children in each session have been identified to have special needs and eight without. I have many children in the class who do not have English as their first language. The developmental age in my classroom ranges from 15 months old to 6 years old. I also work on teaching appropriate behaviors and self control with students who at times can be explosive and or aggressive towards staff and the other children in the class. Many of the children have witnessed or experienced trauma in their short lives. This wide range of developmental levels make it difficult to gain appropriate materials with the schools limited budget.
