I get to work with some of the most amazing young people in the world, and I truly feel that way. My learners come from all walks of life, and the sense of love and community in the hallways and classrooms is palpable. My students are artists, poets, engineers and definitely some of the next political figures. Due to the suburban location of our campus in Rancho Cucamonga, my learners desperately want to understand those things they are not familiar with, including the natural world, and the way things work outside. They seek understanding every day inside and outside of my classes, and acknowledge openly (and eagerly) that the future is in their hands. Instead of being daunted or depressed by the future, my learners are actually excited by the prospect of inheriting the earth, and changing it for the better!
