I was born and raised in Delaware and attended public schools through the Red Clay Consolidated School District, graduating from Alexis I. duPont High School in 1988. I attended U of D for a short time, then began my career with MBNA/Bank of America where I worked for 20 years. I decided to go back to school at Goldey-Beacom College where I graduated Cum Laude in May 2015, earning my BA in English with concentrations in Culture and Technology. During my time at GBC, I came across the Teach For America organization. Through my acceptance with them, I taught summer school to 19 students at Pan American Academy Charter School in Kensington, PA. I graduated from Relay Graduate School of Education and teach 5th and 6th grade Science at EastSide Charter School in Wilmington, DE. My passion is literacy and ensuring that all students are reading fluently and experiencing the sheer joy that reading can bring to them.
