Students in my classroom will primarily use technology for individualized targeted interventions, specific to their needs. The laptop would also provide extension activities such as researching animals we read about, connecting literacy to science and allow for virtual pen pals from other schools. Additionally, there are no rewards for our students--they have recess, no gym, no art, no library and no music, our children deserve better! Please help us give these children a bright spot in their day, we could even use Google Earth to see our school from space!! Having a computer would provide an opportunity for students to take their learning to the next level! Our students miss out on the amazing opportunities the Internet has to offer. Please help bring the world to our fingertips and give our children the opportunity to see the world beyond their neighborhood.
